What makes our exterior coating so much better than traditional paint or other products that state they are more durable than paint? First we begin with a process of injecting more solid into our product than traditional paint. Traditional latex paint will consist of roughly 30-40% solids. Our exterior coating begins with 80% solids. This process makes the absorption rated much higher than traditional latex paint. This allows more of our coating to stay on the home’s surface post drying. Gorilla Guard NEVER waters down our product. Our coating will dry with a much thicker and more luxurious finish than latex paint. The exterior will form an armor like bond to your home’s surface.
After the solids have been added to our coating, we then add our proprietary mix elastomeric and PVDF acrylic resins. This helps to create a highly durable and weather resistant (but still flexible) product. The addition of these resins helps to reduce fading, chalking, chipping, flaking, and degradation.
Our exterior coating is then improved with the addition of ceramic microspheres provided leading research company- 3M. The ceramic microspheres improve the coatings resistance to heat and temperature fluctuations. This also helps our coating achieve superior resistance to water penetration. The 3M ceramic coatings also increase the durability of our exterior coating. This helps Gorilla Guard to have absolute confidence in offering a 25 year warranty.
The next step in our process is adding our proprietary blend of flueropolymers. This addition makes our product much stronger than other exterior coatings (this addition gives our coating a Kevlar effect). Not only does it increase the strength and durability, but it increases the coatings resistance to UV sunlight, ocean salt, mold, and mildew. Mold can be highly destructive and costly. Salt water can be very damaging to a home’s exterior as well. Our coating stifles salt degradation and offers saline protection.Our coating prevents mold and also prevents dirt from building up on the surface. The flueropolymers allow for the coating to fuse together and seals the home in an impenetrable defense that will protect your home like no exterior coating on the market.
